"James and his crew were very helpful and friendly. They show in many ways that they value and respect their customers. The grass was mowed to perfection. Tent sites had their own area which was a plus for those of us who use tents. There were individual bathrooms which included showers. These appeared to be brand new and sparkling. The showers were nice and warm. The crew was there if needed but yet did not attempt to micro-manage my stay. I did not have to worry about whether or not one of my tent pegs was outside the gravel pad or exactly how I parked!" – Elaine H. (Tent)

"We loved the campground/area,the people running it are wonderful. The bath house showers everything is so clean and neat the campground itself is impeccable,we will be back!!" – Terryann M. (Motorhome Class C)

"Excellent accommodations.. each space has full Hookups, picnic table and fire pit, property has laundry room and wonderful showers.. a general store has a great sampling of what campers look for.. playground for kids and horseshoes for big "kids".. would definitely stay there again. " – Mike and Anne B. (Travel Trailer)

"We stayed here during the solar eclipse. This campground was a random internet find after we were unable to secure a camping spot at Fall Creek Falls State Park. Leading up to our stay, I was nervous- How was every other option for tent camping full but Mountain Glen had not one but two tent spots with water and electric hookups during the eclipse? I thought that clearly people familiar with the campground must know something I don't, but having no other options we made the 10 hours drive from Ohio to stay here...and it was AMAZING! This is by far the cleanest, friendliest, and well thought out campground I've ever stayed at or visited. Tent spots were HUGE with a beautiful view over looking a pond. Game room, play ground, horse shoes, ping ping, and corn hole were all nice. The office has almost anything you could have possibly needed and forgotten at home. Bathrooms were a pleasant surprise, instead of a room of bathroom stalls and showers there are actual private bathrooms complete with tile, sink and shower (felt like home instead of camping.) I would HIGHLY recommend staying here if tent camping. You will not be disappointed. *AT&T has no cell service at this location, but I imagine that this the case with most carriers. There is a public phone you can use outside of the office and wi-fi(not the greatest connection) available." – Sara J. (Tent)

"What a wonderful peaceful place! The park is beautiful and immaculately maintained. Our site was spacious and shady! Plus it was pet friendly! We took a day trip to Cumberland Caverns, plus a little time to shop the nearby produce stands. Can't wait to go back!" – Terri P. (Travel Trailer)

"I found this beautiful campground when I was surfing the net for a place the watch the eclipse. Since I was able to get a tent site in a predominantly RV park 5 days before the eclipse, I wasn't expecting much. Boy was I surprised! The park was one of the prettiest I have ever seen. The grounds were perfectly maintained and manicured. The tent sites were more than ample. The acid test of a good campground, for me, is the bathrooms. That is what I found Bathrooms! - - Real private bathrooms with a flush toilet, sink and shower in each one. They were as clean as the bathroom in my own home, and I could even notice a faint whiff of chlorine from their most recent cleaning. The price for a site was considerably lower than I have come to expect. Finally, the place was very friendly. Not was the staff friendly, the whole park was friendly. It was like 40 years ago when campers would actually get to know one another. We hated to leave! The only issue I had was the cell phone service was somewhat iffy for my verizon phone. That is an issue for the whole area, even right in some towns. Also the camp WiFi was too weak to work well at my site. My site was the most distant tent site from the office. Others I talked to did not mention any issues, and I could have easily solved them by going into the air conditioned game room to go online in a comfy chair. My wife and I are already thinking up reasons to take the 11 hour trip to the area so that we can stay in the park again." – Denny C. (Tent)

"We just love staying at this camp ground. We were there for the eclipse and the park was completely packed. Everything was still very clean and organized even considering the big crowd. The owners are the nicest people you would ever want to meet. Thank you for making our camping experience so good." – Mitch W. (Motorhome Class C)

"Wow! One word sums this place up! Beautiful location, immaculate facility (nicest and cleanest showers I have ever seen!) super friendly and helpful staff! PLEASE follow driving directions on their website, not your GPS, to avoid the switchbacks but other than that-LOVELY PLACE! The sites are not too close to one another and it is easy to level out on the pad sites. The tent spaces are right by the pond and picturesque! " – Judy S. (5th Wheel)

"The campground was beautiful and well maintained. We are new to the RV camping. We really enjoyed our stay at Mountain Glen. It was peaceful and quiet. We will be coming back to stay." – Jimmy and Barbara (Travel Trailer)

July 2017

"I think we had the best site in the park (#28). It was very large and had a great view of the fishing pond that my husband enjoyed a lot. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this campground. " – Rick and Lynda (Travel Trailer)

"This campground is a gem! Beautiful view, quiet setting , clean bathhouse, helpful staff and great price!! I look forward to coming back again." – Laura B. (Tent)

"Beautiful and clean campground. very friendly staff. We pulled in tired, and the view immediately refreshed us. Enjoyed fishing in the pond and looking out over the field to the tree line, About a mile down the road is a wonderful Mennonite store that sells fresh garlic cheddar bread that is heavenly and fried fruit pies and cinnamon rolls. I would weigh a ton if I stayed any longer. State park and caverns are an easy drive. Very highly recommend this campground. we had a pug with us and she enjoyed it too. " – Dave & Tricia N. (Travel Trailer)

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this park. It is very well kept and clean and the spaces are nice size. The staff is great and did everything they could to make our stay better; had no wifi access from our space and they allowed us to move to a space where we could connect easily. The only complaint we had was that there was no phone service, but that is not the park's fault. We could drive two miles down the road to get phone signal. Would very definitely stay here again." – Donna W. (Motorhome Class A)

Everyone needs to try this campground." – Peggy A. (Tent)

"We loved Mountain Glen!!! This was one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed at.. everything was wonderful!!! Everyone was super nice and accommodating. The place was beautiful!! Not only was it incredibly well maintained and clean, but there were so many extras! We loved playing ping pong and other games you had available. The bathhouse was amazing and so clean!!! We were on our way home from a long trip but had to stay an extra day. I have already told people about your place. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you!!!!" – Kim R. (Travel Trailer)

"This was a wonderful way for us to camp! The camper was very nice and clean and exactly what we needed. The campground was extremely nice and in a great location. Easy drive to fall creek falls! The Mennonite farms were an added bonus! There is nothing like fresh baked sour dough bread and fried pies!" – Wendy. (RV Rental)

The campgrounds are well maintained & the bathhouses were exceptionally clean. Will definitely be going back." – Janet (Tent)

"Just a note to say thank you for my very enjoyable FIRST camping experience. I stayed in lot#29 on the 13th, 14th, and 15th and my nephew was in lot #30. I only got to meet James and I am sure the rest of the family is just as nice.

Even though I just live in Pikeville, I know I will be back and have been trying to talk to some others to come out for a long weekend and get some spots together.

Again thank you for a great first experience. A lovely place and well maintained.

Wishing you much success." – James S. (Travel Trailer)

March 2017

"Our third trip to Mountain Glen. Delightful--our unit was a bit long for our site, but we asked for a lake-front view. My husband reports that the bathrooms were excellent--I used the facilities in our travel trailer. Quiet, peaceful, and the touch on snow on Saturday the 11th was a beautiful blessing. We'll be back." – Nancy D. (Travel Trailer)

"We only stayed for 2 nights, but this park was amazing. I have camped for years and never have stayed at such a clean facility. The shower rooms/rest rooms which were not only private but were clean. Where we pitched our tent was a perfect view of the pond, I hung my hammock and relaxed for an afternoon nap while listening to the cows and geese. The costs were comparable if not better than Fall Creek Falls which was an added bonus. The staff was exceptionally kind. One even jumped our vehicle off the morning we left since we accidentally drained our battery. Thank you so much for a great experience, I will be bringing my kids here for a camping trip in the future." – Tara (Tent)

June 2016

We loved the park. Everything was so clean and well kept. The lady at the park that we spoke with was so nice and helpful. The bathrooms was cleaner than anywhere we have stayed. We have children and loved all of the amenities. We like that Fall Creek Falls is not too far away and can go do things there as well. We will definitely go back! My only complaint would be not enough personal space at the campsite, but other than that it was great! – Brian and Crystal H. (5th Wheel)

What a great RV Park! We had a site overlooking a fishing pond and the rolling hills of beautiful Tennessee. The showers and restrooms were immaculate. We highly recommend this RV Park. – Gene W. (Travel Trailer)

Very nice campground and very clean! Will be back again soon. – Curt W. (Travel Trailer)

Chose campground because it was near twisty roads for our motorcycle. What a nice surprise! Clean, unique shower/ bathroom facilities, hot water in laundry, level full hookup sites. A bonus was nearby Mennonite produce stands with baked goods and quiet neighbors! Cell phone service and TV reception was poor, allowing for a peacefully unconnected experience. – Donna S. (Motorhome Class A)

Beautiful, clean well run Campground in a very pretty part of Tennessee. We had a great site overlooking the lake and meadow, one of the most relaxing parks we have ever stayed at. Joyce and Family will not only make you feel welcome and at home but are willing to go WAY out of their way to help you if you need it. Thank You again, and we will be back for sure!! (P.S. Cleanest facility you will find) – Tom & Fran J. (Motorhome Class A)

My family has stayed at Mountain Glen numerous times. We love the clean bathrooms and well maintained grounds. We especially loved the fantastic game room with pool, air hockey and satellite TV. The best amenity, though, is the stocked pond. We all fished throughout the day and evening in their "catch and release" pond and was able to catch many, many fish. We will definitely be back to visit for awesome family friendly camping! – Stacie B. (Tent)

Awesome place......great people, very clean bathrooms, beautiful land. We did have a little issue finding level areas for our tents, but it all worked out. Will definitely be back! – Scott (Tent)

Yes, we will return to Mountain Glen. Good signage to follow to park. The area is beautiful. The campground is very nice. Washrooms are very clean . Club house is great. Stayed here during the Mountain Festival at Fall Creek Falls. Very convenient to the Park. Mountain Glen is a very nice campground. Excellent facilities and very nice/clean bathrooms. May 2015

Mountain Glen RV Campground is the best park I have ever stayed at.  We were there over Memorial Day Weekend. I was very glad we could bring our pets and not have to have someone care for them while we were away.  The park was very clean, peaceful and serene.  The only thing I would change is I would request a shady lot.  The young tree we had on our lot wasn't big enough to provide shade yet.  The weather was perfect.  Park attendant was very helpful !  Cost was very reasonable.  I would recommend this park to families with young children and pets.  The directions on the website got us there easily.  We had no problems finding the park. – Tony and Betty (Motorhome Class A)

We came to Mt Glen on our first trip in our motor home and could not have picked a better place for our maiden trip. James was very welcoming and we felt at home. The RV park was very clean and easy to use. The scenery was beautiful and so quiet. We will certainly visit Mt Glen again. –Phil (Motorhome Class A)

September 2012

Mountain Glen was a very nice campground.  It is not right on the interstate so it's extra quiet.  We were there for Labor Day weekend, and although the weather was not fantastic everyday we had a great time.  So many sights to see . . . so close to Fall Creek Falls.  We didn't use any of the restrooms or showers because we had our own, however everything looked very well maintained.  If traveling to that area again we will surely stay at Mountain Glen. – James (Motorhome Class C)

August 2012

July 2012

We LOVED our time at Mountain Glen! A few highlights: my kids caught huge fish, the staff retrieved our tent out of the lake during a storm when we were gone and moved our stuff into a dry area, the many bathroom/showers were immaculate, and the warm and engaging staff were always available with a simple ring of a bell. We are hooked on this place!  – Andy and Paige (Tent)

May 2012

Very nice park, nice sites, very clean, restrooms and laundry exceptional.  Very friendly and considerate staff.  Enjoyed our stay.  – Karen (5th Wheel)

We have stayed at many campgrounds that have called themselves "RV Parks", when they actually were paved parking lots for trailers. At those campgrounds, the view out your door was the backside of another camper. At Mountain Glen, the sites are level, spacious, with full hook-ups and easily accessible even for my 40' fifth wheel, unlike the state campground a few miles down the road. Plenty of room to enjoy a campfire or dining at the picnic table. The small bass lake provided a nice diversion and the camp store even has rods and lures! The main showers/restrooms were clean and well maintained and provided complete privacy. Our host, Joyce, was truly a wonderful person. She made us feel right at home. The only downside (if you want shade) was the lack of trees. But the owners have planted many new trees within the campgrounds and in a few years shade will be abundant. Needless to say, I will recommend Mountain Glen to my fellow campers and will stay there whenever I am in that area. Thank you Joyce for a most enjoyable visit!– Gary (5th Wheel)

What a great discovery. Just this morning our youngest caught his first fish and our oldest caught his first largemouth bass. All together we caught and released 6 bluegill and 5 largemouth bass. The campground is really well thought out. Clean. And Joyce couldn't be more helpful. We stumbled across this campground when our original plan was nixed. They really did a good job of helping turn a bad situation around. We look forward to returning.  – Sam (Travel Trailer)

We enjoyed our time at Mountain Glen so much that we hated to leave. The area is a nice, relaxing, countryside setting and our family had the best Memorial Day weekend. Hopefully we have started a new tradition. We can't wait to go back. The owners are the most helpful, friendly, and most accommodating of any campground we have visited. The amenities are the best we have experienced. The game room includes air hockey, a pool table, and board games. My children loved the play area. The bathrooms are clean, clean, clean. The camp store is nice and not pricey. We enjoyed fishing and my little girl caught her first fish here which will always be a fond memory. If you want to go camping this is the place to do it. Again we can't thank the owners enough for providing such a nice, safe place for families to enjoy. Thank you!  – Smith Family (Tent)

Great experience, playground, arcade/tv room, bathhouse, and friendly service. Our family plans to come back. Thanks. – Dale (Tent)

Nice quiet rural, scenic area. Very nice, clean restrooms/showers.– David (MotorHome Class A)

April 2012

This was a very great relaxing and most comfortable 2 weeks we have had in a while. Beautiful scenery and countryside atmosphere. The waterfall was comforting and calming. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Nice rec. and activity room. Just an overall good experience.  Would recommend !!!! – Clyde and Carla (Motorhome Class A)

March 2012

Beautiful park with great hosts onsite. We were there for two weeks and enjoyed every day of it. Very clean and includes 5 large showers and the cleanest laundry facilities I've seen at any park.  WiFi is provided and since I work while traveling, it was a big bonus for me.  I would recommend this park over Fall Creek Falls anytime, not only because the costs are lower, but also the park is much quieter and very pet friendly. – Ted and Lyn (Motorhome Class A)
